JOHN ELLIOTT
An accomplished business professional, John applies his operational talents to oversee day-to-day responsibilities of Front Street Partners and President of Southern Building Group. With extensive experience in a diverse portfolio of projects, John has participated over the past 25 years in every phase of Construction and Real Estate development. Committed and knowledgeable, he is dedicated to delivering customer service and personal attention to every project. After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University, John gained valuable experience working for the likes of Universal Constructors and Lincoln Property Company, leading to an extensive career in all aspects of construction and development operations. John applied his talent and positive attitude to propel his business career in construction and development and his energy and experience are key ingredients in his success.
CHAD DAVENPORT
Chad began his construction career at Universal Constructors in 1995 and is now principal and Executive Vice-President of Southern Building Group. During his career, Chad has successfully completed a multitude of luxury Multi-Family, affordable housing, and both on-campus and off-campus Student Housing projects throughout the nation for companies such as Brisben Development, Ambling Development, and Clark Realty Capital. Chad most recently completed The Gallery at Mills Park, a $100 million mixed-use luxury Multi-Family and retail development in the heart of Orlando, Florida for DeBartolo Development. Chad oversees pre-construction services as well as daily management of construction operations at Southern Building Group focusing on project performance, administration of Prime Contracts and Subcontracts, and works as an integral part of the Front Street team on all development projects.
CHAD GILBERT
Chad uses his leadership abilities to identify and secure business and real estate opportunities for Front Street Partners. A key partner in various complex development projects, Chad’s expertise is valued by business clients large and small. Experienced and respected, he is committed to ensuring the success of every project with which he’s involved. Chad is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a degree in Civil Engineering. His career started with W&O Construction Company, where he honed his building skills and then went on to be a founding member of Putnam Contracting Services, Putnam Properties, and numerous other companies. He is innovative and forward-thinking in his approach to the Construction, Development, and Real Estate industries.
MARTIN ING
Martin has been a leader in construction and real estate for 20 years. He is analytical with proven successes in construction project management, real estate development, and business operations. Martin is a founding member of the construction company Putnam Contracting Services and is an active partner in the real estate companies Putnam Properties, Front Street Partners, and The Southern Group. Through his experience in all stages of the development cycle, he has constructed and leased numerous successful multi-family and student properties. Martin was born in England and studied Engineering and Economics at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford. He came to Tennessee over 20 years ago as a Mechanical Engineer working for a UK Engineering group and ultimately made middle Tennessee his home.
